The Most Romantic Views in the Caribbean
In our humble opinion, the Ladera Resort in St. Lucia offers the most romantic views out of all of the resorts in the Caribbean. Over 20 years ago, the Ladera Resort introduced the unique idea of constructing its guest rooms with open fourth walls. The open-air concept allows for spectacular views from guest suites. The Ladera Resort has become known for its views of the Pitons and the Caribbean Sea. All of the suites feature private plunge pools, so you never have to leave the room if you don’t want!
The eco-lodge is perched over a thousand feet above the turquoise sea with direct views of St. Lucia’s famed twin peaks, ‘The Pitons’. Jungles surround the rest of the perimeter and tropical flowers are in abundance. Plus, you’ll get to enjoy some of the most amazing sunsets in the Caribbean – right from your own private suite if you so choose!
The Ladera Resort is located about 40 minutes from Hewanorra International Airport at Vieux Fort (UVF), on the site of a former cocoa plantation. Ladera is an eco-lodge and is designed with Caribbean timber, local stone, and terra-cotta tiles throughout.
Gorgeous Beach & Spa Amenities
If you do choose to leave your suite, you must head to the Ti Kai Posé Spa. Here you can indulge in a hot volcanic stone massage or enjoy the mineral pools. The Ladera Resort also offers a free shuttle down to Sugar Beach, which will get you there in just about 5 minutes.
Although there are no televisions or phones in guest rooms, you do get free Wi-Fi. Therefore, you don’t have to fully unplug unless you want to.
All-Inclusive & Breakfast Plan Packages Available
Ladera Resort is an adults-only resort that offers both all-inclusive packages and breakfast plan packages. The Ladera Resort all-inclusive package includes a daily full breakfast at award-winning farm-to-table Dasheene Restaurant, 3-course lunch, 3-course dinner, and both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages.
The head chef at Dasheene Restaurant is Nigel Mitchel. Nigel and his staff are dedicated to cooking with fresh native ingredients sourced from local farmers. The Dasheene Restaurant serves unique variations of traditional St. Lucian cuisine. Specialty items include sweet potato and coconut soup, roast conch with pickled vegetables, jerk poulet sausage, Caribbean lamb salad, and more.
