Teresa and her crew flew from Barcelona to Madrid on Thursday, May 30th. Here is a recap of their full itinerary:<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Sunday, May 26: Leave Omaha @ 11:21 AM.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Monday, May 27: Arrive in Barcelona @ 10:20 AM local time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Thursday, May 30: Fly from Barcelona @ 12 PM &amp; arrive in Madrid at 1:35 PM local time.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Saturday, June 1: Fly from Madrid at 12:10 PM &amp; arrive in Lisbon, Portugal at 12:30 PM local time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Monday, June 3: Leave Lisbon by train at 2:09 PM and arrive in Porto, Portugal at 4:50 PM local time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Thursday, June 6: Leave Porto by train at 1:25 PM and arrive in Santiago, Spain at 6:15 PM local time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Sunday, June 9: Fly from Santiago at 5:05 PM and arrive in Dublin at 6:15 PM local time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Monday, June 10: Fly from Dublin at 11:20 AM and arrive in Chicago at 2 PM local time.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">As we mentioned in <a href=\"http:\/\/enchantedhoneymoons.com\/travel-blog\/13-nights-in-spain-part1-barcelona\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Part 1<\/a>, Teresa parted ways with a portion of her group as they set out to hike the Camino in Spain. The group that headed to Camino included Teresa&#8217;s husband Jeff and her daughter Courtni.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-19310\" src=\"http:\/\/enchantedhoneymoons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Camino-group-1.jpg\" alt=\"Madrid - Camino 1\" width=\"740\" height=\"555\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-19311\" src=\"http:\/\/enchantedhoneymoons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Camino-group-2.jpg\" alt=\"Madrid - Camino 2\" width=\"647\" height=\"633\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Jeff was the only man brave enough for this unique journey, as he and Courtni were accompanied by 4 adventurous females! Teresa stayed back with her son Lucas &amp; the rest of the group:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-19312\" src=\"http:\/\/enchantedhoneymoons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Non-Camino-Group-pic.jpg\" alt=\"Madrid group guys\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">It looks like they had their own (more relaxing) fun on their own, though! Let&#8217;s check out everything they experienced during their time in Madrid. Read on for more!<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center\">Madrid: Champions League Final 2019<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-19313\" src=\"http:\/\/enchantedhoneymoons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/IMG_4773-e1559929590197.jpg\" alt=\"Madrid soccer 1\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Although Teresa &amp; her group didn&#8217;t attend the game, they did get to take in the fan fair on the day before the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uefa.com\/uefachampionsleague\/news\/newsid=2599986.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Champions League Final 2019<\/a>. These pictures were taken on May 30th and the game was held on June 1st, when they left for Lisbon.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-19314\" src=\"http:\/\/enchantedhoneymoons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/IMG_4774.jpg\" alt=\"Madrid soccer 2\" width=\"520\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-19315\" src=\"http:\/\/enchantedhoneymoons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/IMG_4775.jpg\" alt=\"Madrid soccer 3\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">The entire city was full of celebrations, especially surrounding the Wanda Metropolitan Stadium where the game was held. Liverpool ended up defeating Tottenham Hotspur 2-0. Fun fact (maybe not so fun for die hard Spanish soccer fans): This was the first final since 2013 that no Spanish teams made it to the finals. In the past five years, either Barcelona or Real Madrid won the final!<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center\">Madrid Dining<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">While Jeff, Courtni, and the rest of the hikers made their way to Camino, Teresa&#8217;s half of the group enjoyed some amazing cuisine during their time in Madrid.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">Kausa Madrid<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-19317\" src=\"http:\/\/enchantedhoneymoons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/IMG_5738.jpg\" alt=\"Kausa Maddrid 2\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/kausamadrid.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kausa Madrid<\/a> is a Peruvian, Latin &amp; vegetarian-friendly restaurant in Madrid. Two brothers own the eatery and their kitchen serves up a fusion between Peruvian and Spanish cuisine.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-19318\" src=\"http:\/\/enchantedhoneymoons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/IMG_5736.jpg\" alt=\"Kausa Madrid\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">The menu at Kausa Madrid includes items like Ceviche de Pescado and Pulpo a la Plancha (an octopus dish). It is not all seafood however; they also serve meat dishes. In addition, they have a wonderful selection of deserts, including Crema Volteada, which literally translates to &#8220;cream flipped&#8221; but is like a flan or Cr\u00e8me Br\u00fbl\u00e9e. Their drink menu is also outstanding and they have an extensive wine list. Menu prices range from about $5 &#8211; $20.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\">Chocolater\u00eda San Gin\u00e9s<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-19321\" src=\"http:\/\/enchantedhoneymoons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/IMG_5733-Copy.jpg\" alt=\"Madrid Churro 3\" width=\"602\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/chocolateriasangines.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chocolater\u00eda San Gin\u00e9s<\/a> is one of the most famous chocolate and churro shops in Madrid. The shop has more likes on TripAdvisor than anyone! Teresa opted for the traditional chocolate with churros, pictured above.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-19319\" src=\"http:\/\/enchantedhoneymoons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/IMG_5726-e1559931799526.jpg\" alt=\"Madrid churro 1\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">The famed Chocolater\u00eda is located in the quaint San Gin\u00e9s passageway (pictured above) in the heart of the city near Puerta del Sol.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-19320\" src=\"http:\/\/enchantedhoneymoons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/IMG_5728-e1559931818327.jpg\" alt=\"Madrid churro 2\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Inside, the eatery is reminiscent of cafes of the late nineteenth century. It has 2 floors with white marble tables and beautiful tiles. It was built in 1890 as an inn and hostel.
